Something fun they will also learn from. A physical activity that can help to improve co-ordination and mental function and to motivate kids to be more physically active.

Classes are taught in small groups and offer an atmosphere of social acceptance and ease.  They take place in a clean and quiet centre that has all facilities.

The primary objective of this course will be to calm them and give them skills in how to calm themselves.

Based on yoga, the program is tailored to your child's specific age group.

Age groups:

Young children 4 to 7 years old:

The structure of the class is a physical enactment of a story.  This gives them room for creative input and play.  It can also help them to learn anatomical language and assist them to be more physically co-ordinated and motivated.  Or if they are already physically enthusiastic it will help channel and discharge any hyperactivity.  Your little ones will be enchanted by the journey of this class that begins and ends with restful meditation.

Older children – 8 – 12 years old.

This class will follow a more sophisticated story line and choreography.  Older children are encouraged to engage with more challenging poses and more collaborative exercises with other children.

It will also give them a stretch, we sometimes forget the importance of stretching for children, assuming they are all naturally flexible so it doesn't matter.  It is however just as important for children as for adults to ease tension this way.  Starting yoga at an early age will mean that flexibility is maintained into adulthood as well.

After taking this class your older children will be feeling co-operative and cheerful.

Young teens to sixteen – 13 – 16

The perfect balancing agent for the teen age transition time is yoga.  This class offers more sophisticated language that recognises the potential maturity of students in their teens. It is designed to subtly encourage the individuality of each person.  A good balance of physical challenge and deep relaxation will leave teens feeling alive, happy and empowered.
